Refrigerants, Naturally! e.V. and eurammon e.V. unite to strengthen advocacy for natural refrigerants

In a significant step towards a more sustainable future, eurammon e.V. and Refrigerants, Naturally! e.V. are thrilled to announce their cooperation as of September 2024.

This union is set to amplify their impact in promoting natural refrigerants in refrigeration, air-conditioning, and heat pump technologies (RACHP). Together, the members of both associations remain committed to combating climate change and mitigating ozone layer depletion by adopting climate-friendly refrigerants.

With the integration of Refrigerants, Naturally! members into eurammon e.V., the organizations are combining their strengths to provide a comprehensive platform for engaging with key stakeholders. This includes businesses, political decision-makers, NGOs, and educational institutions and end-users, enabling them to advocate more effectively for sustainable and future-proof refrigeration engineering. The joint initiative will also expand resources and extend their global network to accelerate the transition to natural refrigerants across various industries.

"By joining forces, we significantly strengthen our impact in promoting natural refrigerants. In the face of climate change, we must intensify efforts to transition towards future-proof solutions in the RACHP sector," said Rob Vandenboer, recently elected Chairman of eurammon e.V.

The merger also reflects a new visual identity, with a combined logo featuring elements from both associations. The new eurammon office managed by HEAT GmbH will serve as the contact point for private sector members, associations, and technical experts, creating a multi-stakeholder platform dedicated to advancing the use of natural refrigerants.

As a board member of Refrigerants Naturally e.V., I am delighted about the successful merger with eurammon e.V.” stated Menno van der Hoff, who is also member of the eurammon Executive Board. “Both organizations share a strong commitment to promoting natural refrigerants, with different backgrounds and membership bases, and have built a solid reputation in the industry. With our combined strengths we will accelerate the shift away from chemical refrigerants towards natural alternatives, particularly in the commercial HVAC industry and especially outside of Europe, where F-gases remain prevalent.

This exciting development was officially introduced at Chillventa 2024 during the "eurammon Brunch for Friends of Natural Refrigerants" event, where members and interested parties gathered to discuss the mission of the organisation and  upcoming activities.
